relationship thoughts/first impressions?!

PHIL IS SO SWEET I SHOULD HUG HIM MORE.

Rapunzel had heard about Coulson from the other Avenger's and knew he had died and made them all sad, so she thought he had to be a good person. And meeting him, she definitely thinks he is! He's brave and calm in the face of danger, kind and worries about others before himself, she thinks he's a wonderful man. And very helpful when you need a lift up :)

Reverse?

He doesn't know much about her, except that she's the Captain's teammate. She seems genuinely nice and caring and compassionate and she's just the sort of person he had sworn to protect. So he just tries to help out? It was really weird to be known and recognized and then hugged. So he thought he'd return the favor for her when she was painting the walls. For the most part, he does like her. :x (Take care of my Captain, Rapunzel ;^;)

What's your favorite thing about EC so far?

I like being in teams again! Ideally I'd like something to pull them all closer so there's a sense of unity, but I imagine with the doom tests that will happen soon enough. It's just fun being in this pressured environment again, where everyone has to desperately struggle and fight and don't always come out on top.

How's Coulson reacting to being in close proximity to tiny Cap every day?

Uhm, with a lot of short circuiting. Captain America is probably the only person in the world who can get past Coulson's defenses without even trying. And those are pretty darn good defenses. While daily contact and the current dire situation has been helping, he's still... floundering a lot. This is his role model. The guy he never stopped believing in while he grew up. And now they're both on equal standing. And Cap respects him! He said as much. It's a lot to take in and deal with on a personal level.

I guess it's kind of complicated. On one hand, he knows he has to be the SHIELD agent! He needs to motivate Cap, boost morale1 On the other hand, his fanboy side won't shut up and he keeps putting his foot in his mouth. It's all very new and uncertain. And the recent thread he just had with Cap kind of added another awkward element to it. In that he's realizing he does actually have a fanboy crush on Cap. NOW HE HAS TO KEEP THAT FROM MAKING THINGS AWKWARD WITH CAP TOO. \o/ (too late)

His primary objective with Cap is to help him regain confidence again and to find a way out together! That's what he's going to focus on. Beyond that, he's floundering and awkward.

Gosh I don't know what to ask.

I'll start off boring. Relationship/First Impressions on Flynn?

Rapunzel does like Flynn a lot. He's rough and selfish and maybe not the nicest person, but she does think he's a good person (which, I have not played Uncharted, but I believe is not the case). She understands that he's looking out for himself and would throw others under the bus to get ahead, i.e. the Mary-Sue core, Tony... Despite this, because he told her he'd take care of things before he got into that fight she read that as reassuring her; Rapunzel doesn't think he's entirely self-centered and does just want what's best. Flynn is troublesome and gets himself into scrapes and is someone she thinks she needs to keep an eye on to make sure he doesn't get himself in too deep. She enjoys his company and thinks he has a good, if questionable sense of humour and is generally fun to be around, he's made an overall good impression. He's just... Tricky.

Yeah no, Flynn is a bad, bad man.

Rapunzel is naive, idealistic, and by all accounts Flynn should hate her for this. In fact the last thing he did was try to kill a woman much like her (and as far as he knows, he succeeded). He sees this as a potential problem (that she'll do something stupid and 'heroic' that will stymie his escape), but remarkably he does not actually hate her. When it came time to do the survey, he actually wrote Rapunzel down as his favorite on the team. Her skills are useful, she rolls with his humor, and doesn't seem to mind his shady occupation all that much. So Flynn likes her as much as Flynn can like anybody. They get along and she doesn't actively annoy him so he doesn't really bear any malice towards her. If asked he'd probably consider her a friend. He wouldn't take a bullet for her, but he'd try to negotiate someone else taking a bullet to spare her.

Give me some headcanon that you have for Rapunzel!

During Mother Knows Best, the reason Rapunzel is terrified of the plague isn't because of the disease itself. It's because Gothel told her all about these sick people and how desperate they were for a cure, and if she ever went out people would drag her into rooms full of the dying and never let her rest until they were all healed, never let her free, that's what she's honestly terrified of.

A terrible illness once swept Corona, forcing her to confront that fear.

Tell me about Flynn's fantasies of Tony's science related demise.

Flynn wants to shove Stark into the incinerator, then set up a turret below the pneumatic tube that delivers fresh bodies so that he's trapped in a cycle of being killed over and over again until there are too many Starkbodies and the tube clogs up.

He also thinks about finding Stark's original body and taking a hammer to the arc reactor.

What new hobbies does Rapunzel want to take up?

Rapunzel wants to do EVERYTHING. She's looking into massage now that Tony's suggested it, all kinds of exercises, she's picked up archery back home and fancy cake decorating classes to combine her artistic talents with a love of baking, she wants to learn to juggle and breathe fire and all kinds of circus skills, if you name an activity she will want to try it.

What are Flynn's thoughts on being in a team? And yours on team based games?

Don't worry, Flynn is pretty incompetent at murder.

Flynn doesn't mind being on the team, or the concept of teams. He's often had to work with people he didn't much care for in the past, that's just how it is.

As for me, I am excited to be in a team game! I passed on other team games because they're also tied up with amnesia plots, which I am not fond of, but I had great experiences in playing team Cry Fuck You Wolf games back in the day.

What made you decide on Rapunzel for EC?

I really love Rapunzel and have played her in other team games, she is my go-to character because she's fun and friendly and easy to throw into the middle of things. So I was missing playing her and Excel's game came along and I thought YES PERFECT.

Same question for Flynn.

I'd been wanting to play Flynn but couldn't quite find a game for him, then Excel started talking about the Portal RP idea and also that she wanted people to app douchebags. It was fate. Flynn interests me because he almost looks like he's going to have a redemptive moment at the end, but he violently rejects it. And yet I can't help feeling bad for him at the end. Oh, Harry :'(

Mostly I just wanted to squeeze somebody in before apps closed and didn't have time to review a new canon. :|a But I am looking forward to seeing how a non-amnesiac end-of-canon Excel (who has actual confidence to back up her overpowering sense of self-importance) does in a team setting.

Ever think about apping a core?

NOT REALLY, I'd never be able to run tests because I couldn't keep up that level of coherency that late into the night and I'm having fun with just Rapunzel, no real desire or ideas for a core yet.

Any characters you want to see in EC before apps close?

How are the Captain and the Princess doing?

Princess adores the Captain! He's sweet and noble and caring, and he's someone who can be baffled at future tech with her. She trusts him the most out of everying in the Enrichment Center, which is why she told him her backstory, and that really is a big deal for her. Rapunzel was raised to fear strangers and the unknown, and even though she's trying not to be that person with that fear anymore, it's still hard for her to mention hey guys immortality sun powers. Especially with Steve and his girlfriend who grew old, it's exactly the kind of situation she'd expect someone to come to her in desperation in, but Steve managed to be so kind and honourable that she went ahead and told him anyway (even if she did have to disconnect herself from it by telling it in the third person). She feels safe with him! She believes in Steve and his capabilities and thinks he's very strong, Rapunzel doesn't pay much attention to the little guy stuff because she's tiny herself, and thinks Pascal is so tough; even if he tires out from exercises sometimes Steve is still a cool hero who fights the system. She thinks it's very admirable that he's been through so much and lost his strength, and yet still never backs down.
